New health center construction
Help make Rwanda healthier. Contribute to the construction of a new health center (full cost = $500,000). RW builds new state-of-the-art health centers in sectors with limited health resources. Each new center provides critical health services for an average catchment population of 25,000 people who previously had to travel upwards of three hours to access primary health care.
Contribute to the construction of a new health center.
Though Rwanda has made enormous strides in improving access to health care, there are still many rural communities that have no access to health care at all. RW identifies regions of Rwanda where no health facility exists, and seeks to build two new model health centers per year in those areas. New RW health centers serve an average population of 20-25,000 people and provide everything from top-quality primary health care to such critical services as HIV/AIDS, maternity, and tropical disease care. The full cost of a new model rural health center – from laying the foundation to installing energy efficient cookstoves for nutrition demonstrations to erecting the surrounding privacy fence – is approximately $500,000. Every contribution brings us one step closer to that goal.
