The Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation
The Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation was established in 1999 by Garth Brooks and Bo Mitchell. The Foundation contributes financial resources to nonprofit organizations that effectively serve and benefit children with an emphasis on health, education and inner-city services.
With a generous grant from Teammates for Kids, RW built a new health center in Ngeruka sector that provides health services to more than 27,000 people.
The Pace Family Foundation
The Pace Family Foundation was established in 2007 to set up funding programs for the poor, particularly poor children. Pace supports health and water projects in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and India, and health care and food banks in Canada. The foundation has generously supported the construction of Gataraga Health Center in Musanze district, Rwanda, which will provide high-quality, comprehensive health services to approximately 22,000 people.
The Schmidt Family Foundation
The Schmidt Family Foundation was established in 2006 by Wendy and Eric Schmidt. With a focus on environmental and energy practices, the Foundation brings philanthropic resources to some of the century's greatest challenges across the globe.
The Schmidt Family Foundation is committed to improving access to and the quality of health care in Rwanda. Their generous donation funded construction at the new Gashora and Juru health centers in Rwanda.
The Segal Family Foundation
The Segal Family Foundation works to enhance people's lives in Sub Saharan Africa through efforts to improve such critically important elements as health care, education and economic development. With a gift to Rwanda Ventures, Rwanda Works’ private venture partner, the Segal Family funded the construction and operation of a dairy collection center in Gisenyi, Rwanda. The collection center sells high quality fresh milk, with the goal of improving the nutrition of thousands of Rwandans. The state-of-the-art collection center provides farmers with important inputs such as feed, ongoing training and capacity building, and access to refrigeration to extend the life of their milk.
